Paula Raia for Sao Paulo Fashion Week
The mood was beautifully tranquil at Paula Raia‘s Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2015 show. Sunlight streamed in through the windows and models sauntered down the runway surrounded by lush greenery.
The collection of twenty-three garments transitioned from whites to creams to burnt oranges and primarily consisted of dresses of varied lengths. While Raia played with textures, patterns, and cut-out fabrics on the bodices and sleeves, she kept the skirts fairly simple. Those were constructed of sheer materials, petaled overlays, or a combination of the two; she also tiered several of the skirts.
Models were styled with a bare lip, dewy skin, and a hint of lower lashline definition. Their hair was kept simple in a long, wrapped braid.
The ethereal nature of the garments, the earthy setting and the styling created a raw, organic fashion experience.
