Real-life Barbie dolls at Sports Illustrated event

The famous Sports Illustrated magazine recently hosted a party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the publication’s Swimsuit Edition. Beautiful swimsuit models, past and present, who have graced the pages of the magazine attended the star-studded event on Monday, February 17th.

Russian supermodel Irina Shayk turned heads at the half-century old magazine’s anniversary celebration. The 28 year-old girlfriend of Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo was dressed in a mini sky blue dress that fit snug on her slim figure and displayed a portion of the statuesque model’s flawless skin beneath the sheer overlay on the sides. Shayk debuted in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in it’s 2007 issue and has appeared in every edition since then, gracing the cover of the yearly publication in 2009.

Joining Shayk was the age-defying American beauty Christie Brinkley, who was donned in a sexy low-cut orange dress and a cropped black overcoat as 60 year-old supermodel flashed her ever contagious smile for photographers at the event. Also making a pink carpet appearance were the no less stunning Sports Illustrated Swimsuit veterans Petra Nemcova, Daniela Pestova, Rachel Hunter and Carol Alt. The 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, which features Nina Agdal, Lily Aldridge and Chrissy Teigen on the cover hit newsstands today, Tuesday, February 18th.
