Lily Aldridge to make her debut in Sports Illustrated

American model Lily Aldridge, who is best known for her work with lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret, will join the league of fashion models to grace the pages of the famous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. The 28 year-old brunette shared a photo via her twitter account that appears to be an outtake from her photoshoot for the yearly publication.

“@SI_Swimsuit So excited to be apart of the 2014 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue!!!!,” tweeted the daughter of artist Alan Aldridge and former model Laura Lyons, about her debut in the magazine. Aldridge appears in a neon yellow two-piece bikini as she takes a dip in the ocean and sultrily poses for the camera.

Sports Illustrated followed up the model’s social media post by tweeting: “Lily Aldridge is Rookie 8; yes you read that right…@LilyAldridge: VS Angel and now a Swimsuit Goddess!” Aldridge is one of twelve rookies “picked to carry the Swimsuit franchise into the next 50 years.”
