Iconic supermodel Cindy Crawford graces the cover of December 2013’s issue of Marie Claire Mexico. In it, the statuesque 47 year-old channels the immortal María Félix, in a tribute to the Mexican cinema and fashion icon.

Photographed by John Russo, Crawford is captured wearing pieces which make us reminisce “La Dona,” which include her illustrious hat, serpent bangles and a cigar. She even nailed the actress’ sensuously imposing glare. Crawford told the magazine she was thrilled to partake in the shoot, as she always thought of Félix as a “passionate and strong woman.”

“Cindy is iconic. She is the quintessential supermodel. Always professional and gracious, she enters the room as if it was her first shoot,” said photographer John Russo, “She takes on whatever persona the shoot calls for. I love working with her.”
