NYFW takes off and it’s show and tell time for the supermodels
Supermodels of the past, Christy Turlington and Helena Christensen were up front and center as EDUN’S NYFW took off in New York on Sunday.
Were they comparing notes on how the younger models who stormed the catwalk were doing? Apparently so, as they were caught deep in conversation as the models took to the stage. Christy looked stunning in a white dress and paired it with strappy black sandals while Helena went for the bombshell look in red with a zipper running all the way down the front of the dress. Gold shoes and an elegant clutch bag completed the picture of supermodel perfection. Other famous faces who graced the show were U2 singer Bono who made it a family affair by having his wife Ali Hewson on one side and daughter Eve on the other side. Sting’s wife, Trudie Styler was also there wearing a stylish white dress and Helena Vestergaard, Gina Gershorn and Jeff Koons were the rest of the celebrities who sat on the front row.
EDUN’s collection itself by new creative director Danielle Sherman was mainly a black and white affair featuring woven leathers and tribal prints with a splash of color here and there. The Spring 2014 collection was trendy, hip and very eye-catching! Two thumbs up!
