Hathaway’s Last Minute Switch
On the back of her Oscar win for Best Supporting actress, Anne Hathaway has spoken out about her last minute gown change from her custom made Valentino to Prada. The Les Miserables star was forced to issue a formal apology to Valentino after a press release went out stating they were providing the gown for Hathaway for the prestigious event.
The cause behind her last minute change in wardrobe? The star learnt that a dress similar to her own, designed by Alexander McQueen was being worn to the same event. Who might we ask was the woman behind this similar dress? None other than Anne’s Les Miserables costar Amanda Seyfried. Well isn’t that awkward!
While Seyfried simply glowed in her custom lilac gown with beautiful dragonfly embroidery, Anne failed to wow in her last minute Pink Prada dress. In fact, Anne’s dress left many questioning her gown choice with some describing it as “disastrous”, when most were expecting the stunning Valentino creation to hit the red carpet.
Unfortunately not wanting to wear a similar dress to Amanda has left Anne on the bottom of the Fashion ladder for her, as she describes “…difficult last minute decision” in changing the dress. We know which dress we would have chosen!
