Change of venue for Naomi Campbell’s billionaire beau’s 50th birthday bash
The Times of India is reporting that the venue for the mega-birthday celebrations for Naomi Campell’s billionaire beau’s 50th birthday bash has been changed from Jaipur to Jodhpur and more specifically it will take place at the beautiful Mehrangrah Fort. “Naomi has preferred Jodhpur over Jaipur. A number of celebrities from the fashion and film world are likely to participate in the grand celebrations that will take place at the Mehrangrah Fort in Jodhpur.” A source is reporting that 175 guests will partake of a sumptuous meal on November 6 and it will consist of several Indian dishes. The celebration on November 7 will however take place at the Taj five-star luxury hotel Umaid Bhawan Palace and coincidentally the hotel just won the 2012 Travelers’ Choice Awards for Heritage Hotels.
Naomi touched down in Jodhpur this weekend wearing a short white dress and black strappy heels looking fashion forward and showing off lots of leg. The model looked glum as she was escorted to a waiting car and had her famous pout on her face. It is being rumored that there will be two huge events. One will take take place at the historic fort and the other at the palatial hotel. Diana Ross has been garnered to perform at a staggering $500,000 for the performance and an elephant polo match is also being planned. However, PETA is not looking too kindly at this news. Benazir Suraiya, PETA’s spokesperson had this to say, “It’s sad and predictable for this clueless woman to exploit India’s national treasure, the elephant, an animal with more dignity and intelligence than she can ever dream of.” Harsh words indeed but as we know Naomi has faced harsher criticism and has taken it all in her supermodel stride and this will be no different.
So, get ready for the “party of the century” as Vladimir Doronin, Naomi’s main squeeze plays “king” for a day. Quite a jump from billionaire to king, don’t you think? But then again, maybe not.
