Michelle Dockery rocks in fashion shoot for Harper’s Bazaar
Downtown Abbey’s Michelle Dockery puts aside her period costumes for something a little more sizzling as she takes to the pages of Harper’s Bazaar for a fashion shoot.
She dons the likes of Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford and Alberta Ferreti and oozes pure sex appeal as she leaves the uptight Lady Mary behind for the shoot. Michelle looks stunning in a number of sexy outfits. In one shot, she is seen reclining on a chaise lounge wearing a black velvet gown with lots of sheer panels with that come-hither look that would make Lady Mary writh in her corset. In another shot, she is seen flaunting her curves in a black leather dress. What would Lady Mary say? Seems like the lady has gone hiding for this photoshoot.
The actress told Harper’s Bazaar the reason for Downtown Abbey’s popularity. She said, “I think some period drama can be quite alienating but Downtown isn’t. This is going to sound quite, um, pretentious but someone said that it’s like a soap written by a poet.” She also said that one of the drawbacks of appearing in a period piece is that “Once you’re in a costume, you can’t really exercise in a corset.”
So, we’re glad she took some time off to let it all hang out for a while, oops, we meant to let her skin breathe for a while.
