“Victoria’s Secret” set to take the UK by storm
Who hasn’t heard of Victoria’s Secret’s sexy lingerie, sleepwear and swimwear? Perhaps the question should be who hasn’t heard of “the Angels” who represent the cult brand with their goddess-like bodies? Angels like Erin Heatherton, Adriana Lima, Rosie-Huntington-Whiteley and Miranda Kerr, just to name a few. It’s a case of “sex sells” where they are concerned. Get a number of supermodels together, drape their super bodies in skimpy lingerie or swimwear and you’ve got a winning recipe for success and that is good business folks.
The lingerie brand is ready to explode into the UK market. They are not opening one but three stores this summer. It is rumored that the flagship European store will open its doors in London’s Mayfair area on the 25th of July. The store will be located at the corner of New Bond Street and Brook Street in London’s luxurious shopping district. A second store is scheduled to open sometime during summer 2012 at the new Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre and a third store is being planned but the location is unconfirmed as of yet. And the Angels will be making an appearance in London to land full support to their big Brit debut.
Alessandra Ambrosio who has been working hard since the birth of baby Noah to get her figure back into “Angel” stature told Vogue earlier this year, “I hope to be back in London for the opening of the Victoria’s Secret Store in July.”
