Elizabeth Hurley snubs “Foxtel´s” offer to host top-rated show

Australian network, Foxtel, hits another bump in its search for a presenter to host Australia´s Next Top Model. The network is having a hard time finding a replacement for Sarah Murdoch who quit the show last December. Elizabeth was slated as the top contender because she has what it takes, beauty, acting credentials, profile and personality to do a fantastic job of hosting the show. She has turned down the offer for personal reasons. Victoria´s Secret model, Miranda Kerr, was initially in consideration but she turned it down and so has Elle Macpherson.

Sources claim that the 46-year-old model is trying to sort out her life with cricketer fiance Shane Warne. She said, “My future plans are as chaotic as ever.” It could be that the actress has too much on her plate at the moment. Besides smooching up a storm with beau, Shane Warne, she is preparing to expand her business empire by opening a stand-alone shop for her swimwear line, Elizabeth Hurley, in Marbella, Spain.

The lovebirds who met last year have been likened to Bogie and Bacall, Paul and Linda and Cathy and Heathcliff. They have not only been heating up the Twitter landscape with their flirty tweets but have been displaying their sickening show of affection out in public as well and have the world sitting back and taking notice. The actress admitted that she found an instant attraction to Warne the moment they first met. “We come from very different worlds so I see that as fascinating if not odd to many fans. But it´s not often you meet people you instantly feel comfortable with and when you find that even if there are vast differences in background and experiences it´s worth following through.”

In an article for Amuse magazine entitled 18 lessons in Life by Elizabeth Hurley she gives an indepth view into what she considers important to her. She opens up about her eating habits and style choices and encourages fans to take-up cooking and to put family and friends first.

Is that a clear signal that her priorities lie elsewhere, away from the glitz and pomp of Tinseltown?

Caitlin Moran had this to say about Hurley: “It´s not her fault that hers is the sort of talent that makes woman famous these days as opposed to writing the great feminist novel, flying solo across the Atlantic or campaigning for civil rights. She´s just going with market forces.”

The lady is making her own tracks these days folks. With love and romance on her side, Shane Warne on her arm and a booming business empire, she´s got the bull by the horns. Who needs Foxtel? It´s back to the drawing board for the producers of the show. We wish them well.
