Elle Macpherson in a lime green pantsuit

Once again Elle Macpherson lived up to her famous ‘The Body’ alter-ego today. The ageless 46-year-old looked incredible in a lime green pantsuit to tape a commercial for Britain’s Next Top Model at the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach. The outfit lengthened and slimmed the supermodel’s already tall and thin frame with it’s flattering lines. Elle accessorised the stylish look with gold accessories and her favourite Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses and wore her sun-streaked blonde hair in a 70’s style blow-out.

Towering over crew members, Elle showed that she was having fun on the job as she beamed and laughed during outtakes. Hamming it up for the cameras, she also appeared to be working her quirky side for the advertisement.

Britain’s version of fashion’s most ferocious modelling competition has never reached the heights of the original U.S. show, which has Tyra Banks as host, judge and mentor to the models. Tyra’s outrageous hogging of the camera, bizarre dress sense and weight fluctuations have made America’s Next Top Model compulsive viewing for 15 series – gripping fans even more than all the bitching and cat-fights on the catwalk. In the UK, however, the first presenter Lisa Butcher left after just one year.

George Clooney’s ex Lisa Snowdon took over for the following four years, and then Elle in 2010. The Australian supermodel also serves as executive producer on the show. This season’s cycle is yet to be announced but judging by Elle’s advertisement today, it could be imminent.
