Plain Claudia Schiffer on dinner date with her husband Matthew Vaughan

With three small children and international careers, it’s probably not that often that these two get some quality time together. So it might have been nice for Claudia Schiffer -a world-famous supermodel – to have made more of an effort for a date night with husband Matthew Vaughan. The statuesque German looked quite dowdy as she and Vaughan arrived for dinner at the Madeo restaurant in Los Angeles last night.

What are you wearing? Claudia Schiffer looked dowdy in a shapeless striped sweater dress and brown boots as she dined out with husband Matthew Vaughan. The 40-year-old was dressed in a long white sweater dress, with navy blue and silver stripes, which she teamed with brown heeled shoe boots. And she looked as though she hadn’t even bothered to run a brush through her hair as she climbed out from beneath the gull wing doors of their Mercedes.

Her face also looked blotchy and red as she had also decided to forgo any make-up for the evening out. Matthew looked equally as casual in a light grey sweatshirt and sporting an unshaven face. The couple also looked quite stony-faced as they arrived at the restaurant, either because they were not happy at being faced with the cameras or they had a row on the way there.

They live in London but are in the States at the moment while Vaughan, 40, puts the finishing touches to X Men; First Class, the fourth film in the series which he directed and is due for release in June.
