Kate Moss ditches the glamour to celebrate 37th birthday
She’s a multi-millionairess supermodel, but Kate Moss celebrated her 37th birthday last night like most mere mortals – with trip to the cinema and the pub.
The mother-of-one showed that she still enjoyed the simpler things in life with a gang of her friends, as well as boyfriend Jamie Hince.
Dressed down in charocoal grey skinny jeans, battered old black ankle boot, black coat and scarf and a bling Chanel bag, the clotheshorse was also wearing minimal make-up.
They started at the real-ale friendly, music-free Uxbridge Arms pub in Notting Hill where they sat around a cosy open fire, before heading around the corner to The Gate cinema to see the Oscar-nominated, Golden Globe-winning The King’s Speech.
After the critically-acclaimed film, starring Colin Firth, the party tried another couple of pubs in the area before Kate and Jamie headed home and a relatively early night.
Kate and Jamie were joined by friends including Jamie’s Kills bandmate Alison Mosshart and Kate’s best friend, PR Fran Cutler.
It’s not clear yet whether or not the pair have moved from the model’s Maida Vale home to the Highgate mansion she’s rumoured to have bought for ?7.5million last month.
The celebrations were a far cry from her F Scott Fitzgerald-inspired Beautiful And Damned 30th birthday at Claridge’s, which lead to tales of celebrity swinging, orgies and drug-taking.
The Tuesday night session however had followed a party in Paris at the weekend, where Jamie had whisked his beloved for a spendy city break.
The Mirror reports the pair spent two nights in a he ?9,000-a-night penthouse at the city’s Ritz hotel and were chafffeured around the capital to go sightseeing – and drinking – in a shiny black Rolls-Royce, with frequent pitstops for champagne.
The star also hosted 30 guests, including celebrity hairdresser James Brown and artist Jake Champman, in the private Cesar dining room after which they decamped to Le Montana nightclub.
Sunday was spent having boozy lunch where she was given a bouquet and a birthday cake – for Cake Moss.
