David Walliams and Lara Stone paint their romance on a public canvas
Art galleries are usually a look-but-don’t-touch environment yet David Walliams couldn’t keep his hands off one piece last night.
Walliams has left the world in no doubt that he considers his wife Lara Stone to be a work of beauty and the loved up couple made their feelings clear for all to see.
The Little Britain star and his Calvin Klein model other half attended a private view of Richard Hambleton’s street art at The Dairy in London.
Hambleton, often called ‘the godfather of street art’, made his name in the New York City art scene of the 1980s and is the surviving member of a group that included Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
But Walliams and Stone injected the glamour into his latest London show and continued to paint their love on a a public canvas.
Ever since the comedian married the Dutch supermodel in London in May – after dating for less than a year – they have repeatedly been snapped getting up close and personal in public.
When asked what attracts her to Walliams, Stone has said: ‘He’s hilarious. It’s so great to go out with him.
‘I can be in such a cranky mood and then he makes me laugh. He is super-funny.’
And instead of being coy about his wife’s modesty when it comes to her modelling career, Walliams has admitted he actually gets a kick out of it.
‘She’s beautiful, and it’s lovely that other people see it as well,’ he said.
