The finale of the French of fashion show, when the designer takes to the runway, is usually a protracted affair. Not so last night. Making one of the quickest exits known to fashionkind, Karl Lagerfeld shoved his way past mannequins and photographers on the Chanel couture catwalk. One explaination could be that he didnt want to take up any more of Richard Gere’s precious time. The glad to be grey actor was there to watch model wife Cindy.
