Angels, push-up bras and frilly pinnies: It must be the launch of a new Victoria’s Secret perfume
Not many women could manage to make a flowery apron sexy.
But that’s exactly what model Miranda Kerr managed to achieve she she launched the Victoria’s Secret Heavenly Flowers perfume in New York yesterday.
Wearing a tight, grey and pink striped dress and nude heels to complement the frilly pinny, Miranda looked every inch the domestic goddess at the event.
Joined by fellow Victoria’s Secret Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel, Miranda smouldered in the sexy photographs as she promoted the scent inspired by ‘a touch of luscious fruit and a blend of sun-splashed blossoms.’
The angels also took time to meet fans who paid $35 for personalised autographs from the trio, as well as a flower bouquet inspired by the fragrance and mother and daughter makeovers with the VS Supermodel Artist Team ahead of Mother’s Day in America on May 9th.
But the launch was nearly without one of its angels, as Alessandra narrowly missed being stuck in Madrid due to the Iceland volcano eruption causing flight chaos.
After flying out of Madrid on Tuesday, the Brazilian beauty arrived back in Los Angeles, before then travelling to New York for the launch.
However, the 29-year-old model showed no tell-tale signs of too much travelling, and admitted she was just relieved to have got back to America at all.
Alessandra, who is mother to 20-month-old daughter Anja Louise, said: ‘Thank God I got back, or else I wouldn’t have been able to be with my daughter.
‘I’m glad I made it through it all.’
It was recently announced that Alessandra has been signed up as the new face of fashion line Moschino.
She will front the Autumn/Winter 2010/11 campaign for the company and will appear in a series of photographs taken by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
Moschino creative director Rossella Jardini said: ‘I have chosen Alessandra as model for the Moschino campaign as her Mediterranean style, mixed with her natural way of being chic, fits perfectly with Moschino.’
