Yasmin Le Bon steals Mark Ronson’s thunder at the London launch of his footwear range for Gucci

It was supposed to be Mark Ronson’s night as he launched his range of footwear for top designer label Gucci.
But the music producer was upstaged by a blast from the past at their temporary pop-up store in Covent Garden last night when Yasmin Le Bon showed up looking just as stunning as she did in the 1980s.
Ronson, 34, found his London launch was eclipsed by the wife of Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon who stunned in a gorgeous short, summery mini-dress with a cream cardigan and a pair of brown leather gladiator style heels.
The 45-year-old former model looked in great shape with her outfit showing off the kind of figure that most women half her age strive to achieve.
Gucci’s new line had its London launch at a temporary pop-up store on Earlham Street in Covent Garden and was followed by an after-party at Ronnie Scott’s in Soho.
The launch was part of the company’s international tour to promote the new line of footwear.
Each of the launches sees Gucci introduce a new limited edition design from Ronson’s collaboration with Gucci’s Creative Director, Frida Giannini.
Other guests at the event included Yasmin’s husband Simon Le Bon and Duran Duran bandmate Nick Rhodes, Kate Moss’ ex Jefferson Hack, Bryan Ferry and Frida Giannini, who attended against the odds following recent cancellations of European flights caused by volcanic ash.
Ronson wore a white suit, with a black shirt covered in white polka dots – with a matching pair of his own Gucci Ronson’s to match.
His range of boat-style footwear features the polka dot design along with an array of bright and bold colourways.
The limited edition Gucci Icon collection includes 15 men’s styles and 2 women’s, as well as Ronson’s design, and customers’ have the novelty option of having their initials embossed onto a customised leather tag on the shoe laces if desired.
Customers can expect up to ?340 for the exclusive trainers, which come with special metal dog tags and their own unique, limited edition box.
