Elle of an hairdo: Model Macpherson and Mischa Barton trade long locks for curls

One is a quintessential Californian girl, the other an Australian supermodel and both are rarely seen in public without their trademark long flowing locks.
But for their latest film in New York, Mischa Barton and Elle Macpherson are trying out a completely new look.
Both women were snapped on the set of The Beautiful Life in Manhattan with curlers in their hair.
While Mischa was aiming for ringlets, Elle displayed a loose, tousled style.
But their hair stylists must have been in overdrive, as the rainy weather threatened to turn their neat ‘dos into frizz. The pair carried black umbrellas to protect themselves from the downpour.
In the film, Macpherson’s character owns a top modelling agency while Barton plays a troubled model.
But on set, with a cigarette in her hand, a frown on her face and the curlers, Barton looked anything but model-like.
Machpherson, on the other hand, looked perfectly turned out despite the wet weather in tight jeans and black peep-toe heels.
