Victoria Beckham’s No.1 fan: Elle Macpherson shows off yet another DVB original

Victoria Beckham may have the funds to splash out on elaborate campaigns for her fashion label.
But thanks to Elle Macpherson, the designer need not bother.
The supermodel, who has recently been pictured in three DVB creations, appears to be a walking advertisement for the Spice Girl’s new dress range.
Sporting Victoria’s Evol number, Elle, 46, showed off the elegant design on set of her new television drama in New York yesterday.
This is now the fourth dress that Elle has sported for filming of The Beautiful Life and it seems Victoria’s collection is definitely the wardrobe of choice.
The pop star originally showcased the outfit from her Spring/Summer 2009 collection herself last year when she spent Christmas Eve at Claridge’s hotel in London with husband David and three sons.
But Victoria, who has silenced – and stunned – critics with her design skills, will no doubt be thrilled at the free publicity.
Elle showed off plenty of va-va-voom in the Giral dress last week, a black strapless corset design, with Victoria’s now trademark long exposed zip at the back.
But she opted for a more demure look yesterday with the wrap-shirt and pencil skirt style dress, posing beside a New York police car.
Elle is currently filming new CW show The Beautiful Life alongside troubled actress Mischa Barton, who recently spent time in a psychiatric ward.
Elle plays Claudia Foster, a former Eighties supermodel who runs a modelling agency in the drama about a group of male and female models living together in New York City.
The mother of two has acted before – playing a nude model in 1993 Hugh Grant movie Sirens and appearing as Joey’s model roommate in Friends ten years ago.
However, sources on the new show – which is executive produced by Ashton Kutcher – say executives are concerned about the model’s acting skills.
Elle hasn’t acted on screen since 2001 straight-to-DVD film South Kensington, in which she starred alongside Rupert Everett and Sienna Miller.
