Estella Warren films Beauty and the Beast on Gold Coast

FORMER supermodel and now Hollywood star Estella Warren is making all kinds of waves on the Gold Coast, starring in a sci-fi version of Beauty and the Beast.
The Planet of the Apes stunner, once the face of the iconic Chanel No. 5 fragrance, has slipped into Queensland to shoot a $4 million sci-fi movie version of Beauty and the Beast at Movie World’s Warner Bros Studios.
But it hasn’t been all work and no play for the LA-based Canadian, who has reportedly dated Hollywood royalty Bruce Willis, Ashton Kutcher and Josh Hartnett.
During a brief filming break last week, Warren, 30, said she had fallen in love with the Gold Coast and “didn’t want to leave”.
Not only has the former pro synchronised swimmer – and three-times Canadian national champion – been hitting the beach regularly, she’s also been causing a stir among the Glitter Strip’s male population by hitting the bars and restaurants.
“I’m not a wallflower. I like to go out and see what a city’s all about,” said Warren, who’s staying at Surfers Paradise. “I came out here with a girlfriend of mine and she and I have been having a hoot; going surfing and shopping and we’ve found a great little Irish pub called Waxy’s at Surfers that we’ve landed at a few times.”
Warren, who will continue filming on the Gold Coast for another month, was last in Australia in 2003 to shoot Kangaroo Jack alongside Christopher Walken.
She will also attend Friday’s MTV Awards in Sydney, with her Beauty and the Beast co-star, Australian actor Rhett Giles.
