Kate Moss to continue Topshop line
Now we know why Kate Moss was looking so chirpy when she stepped out of Arcadia HQ last week with Sir Phillip Green!
The supermodel has been snapped up by Green to design her Topshop collection for another three years, following the huge success of the range.
First launched in May 2007, Moss has created eight collections for the high street haven to date, and is now set to add both accessories lines and lingerie to her growing franchise.
Although the mass hysteria induced by her very first launch may have died down, subsequent collections have continued to be a huge hit with shoppers, with key pieces selling-out within days of each new launch.
In a statement, Moss commented, ‘The last two years have been an exciting experience, and Topshop has given me the perfect platform to develop my own collection, which is something that I have wanted to do for a long time.
‘I am really looking forward to working with the Topshop team on our new collections and thank everybody who already owns a piece of Kate Moss for Topshop!’ she concluded.
Green added, ‘I believe this has been a great partnership for both TOPSHOP and Kate. Having had two years experience, I am confident that Kate’s collection now has the potential to become a significant global brand within Topshop.’
Look out for her spring 2009 installment, set to hit stores on spring 2009.
