Vogue and Paris call for Alice Burdeu
THIS time last year a beleaguered Alice Burdeu was carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders.
Then, the lithe-framed teenager was attacked across the nation for being too thin to be crowned Australia’s Next Top Model.
Her dad defended her, telling Confidential his daughter stuffed herself with sausages.
Fast forward to the July issue of Vogue Australia, and it seems Burdeu has sent her critics packing and is stuffing her suitcases for working trips to Paris instead.
Nice work if you can get it.
Her transformation stunned the international fashion world, just not Vogue Australia’s editor Kirstie Clements who has gifted the Aussie gal her second cover.
“She’s a different model now to the one who won Australia’s Next Top Model.
“She’s been validated as one of the top emerging models on the world scene and has a whole new sense of sophistication,” Clements said.
Oui oui agree.
